The June General Membership Meeting and training session have been scheduled for June 13, 2023. The venue is Ross Hall in the City of Bell Gardens, and our host is MSA LA/Orange Treasurer and City of Bell Gardens Supervisor Alfredo Onate. Registration begins at 11:00 a.m., and the meeting will start at 11:30 a.m.
The training topic is “E-Mobility” and will be an overview of the technologies that are driving low and zero-emission (sustainable) equipment and which solutions/products are expected to be commercially available between 2023 and 2030. The presentation is generic to the technology and will not be a marketing presentation on Volvo, although most of the examples will come from Volvo due to copyright reasons. As well as a review of technologies and products, the challenges surrounding charging and access to alternate fuels will be discussed.
Learning objectives: 1) Understand the three driving technologies and five possible commercial solutions, and 2) Awareness of the opportunities and challenges inherent in the new technical solutions.
